Sorry for the french, but NO FUCKING SHIT!
Generation X Is Sick of Your Bullshit:
"A majority of Americans say, for the first time ever, that this generation will not be better off than its parents." —New York Magazine
Generation X is sick of your bullshit.
The first generation to do worse than its parents? Please. Been there. Generation X was told that so many times that it can't even read those words without hearing Winona Ryder's voice in its heads. Or maybe it's Ethan Hawke's. Possibly Bridget Fonda's. Generation X is getting older, and can't remember those movies so well anymore. In retrospect, maybe they weren't very good to begin with.
But Generation X is tired of your sense of entitlement. Generation X also graduated during a recession. It had even shittier jobs, and actually had to pay for its own music. (At least, when music mattered most to it.) Generation X is used to being fucked over. It lost its meager savings in the dot-com bust. Then came George Bush, and 9/11, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Generation X bore the brunt of all that. And then came the housing crisis.
Generation X wasn't surprised. Generation X kind of expected it.

I am not a listable goth. No. Am I? Of course I am not...
Hee hee hee hee... Am I on this chart? No! I am not goth. Besides, goth is dead anyway and has been since the late 1980s early 1990s.
Dead to me, anyway...

Actually, I am not really on this list... They need a "Recovering Goth." Someone who still listens to some of the music from time to time and will sometimes reveal themselves in public when one of the old bands runs out of money and hauls its zombie like selves around the country on a tour promoting the live album recorded at their one time only reunion gig... Someone who still, usually, wears mostly black, but chooses "normal" styles of clothing. I... er, this type... has also been known to be seen in darker shades of solid colors such as the occasional dark red, green, or blue dress shirt. The Recovering Goth will, in most situations, refuse to accept the goth label (unless they are in a certain, sentimental mood mixing with other Recovering Goths and, likely, a decent amount of alcohol).

What I Am Listening To Now: "Hold On" by Tom Waits
The theme for life this week in my house is "Getting Back to Basics." For me, Tom Waits and this song is about as basic as it gets...
YouTube Merch Store to Sell Songs, Concert Tickets and Merchandise
Just reminding myself to look into this more later. Just another item on the endless to do list...
YouTube Merch Store to Sell Songs, Concert Tickets and Merchandise:YouTube has launched The Merch Store, a tool allowing musicians to sell digital downloads, concert tickets, branded merchandise and more directly from their respective YouTube channels.
The Google-owned video platform partnered with a number of different companies to enable the ecommerce add-ons, including Topspin (for merchandise, concert tickets and other experiences), Songkick (for concerts), and Amazon and iTunes (for music downloads). The company did not disclose whether it would be taking a cut of sales made through those services.
The Merch Store will be rolled out globally over “the coming weeks,”
